Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

This policy applies to the Myth Archive iOS app (“the app”) and to this website. “We”, “us” and “our” refer to the developer of Myth Archive. For any privacy question, write to post@driftsortantartic.site.

2. What we don't collect

The app never asks for your name, email address, phone number or any account details, and there is no registration screen anywhere in it. We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, health data or payment information. We do not receive a list of which entries you read.

Entries, illustrations, regions and traditions are compiled into the app itself. Opening a page reads a local file; it does not contact a server.

3. What stays on your device

A few small things are written down as you browse:

• which entries you have opened (“traced”);
• which entries you have marked;
• your preferences — plate appearance, sound, touch feedback, daily-notice time, and an optional name you may type in Settings.

All of this lives only in the app's private storage on your device, protected by the device's own encryption. It is never uploaded to us. You can clear your traced entries from the Settings tab at any time; deleting the app removes everything.

4. Notifications

If you switch on the daily entry, iOS asks your permission and your device schedules the notice locally. Nothing is sent through a push server and no push token is sent to us. Turning the notice off in the app's Settings, or in iOS Settings, stops it immediately.

5. Third-party services

The app includes the AppsFlyer software development kit, a mobile measurement service that may be used to understand how people find and install the app (install attribution) and to detect fraudulent installs. Where it is active, AppsFlyer may process technical data such as:

• the IP address and approximate country derived from it;
• device type, operating system version, language and time zone;
• app version, install and first-open timestamps;
• Apple's Identifier for Vendors (IDFV) and, only if you allow tracking in the iOS prompt, the Advertising Identifier (IDFA).

This data is not combined with your reading history, which never leaves your device. AppsFlyer processes it on our behalf under its own privacy policy: appsflyer.com/legal/privacy-policy.

The app is distributed through Apple's App Store. Apple may collect data about downloads and purchases under the Apple Privacy Policy; we have no control over that data.

6. Tracking & advertising

Myth Archive shows no advertising and contains no ad networks. We do not sell or share your personal information for money. Your device's Advertising Identifier is only ever accessed if you grant permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt, and you can withdraw it at any time under Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking.

7. When you contact us

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to write. We use it only to reply to you and keep it no longer than needed to handle your message. We never add you to a mailing list.

8. This website

This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics. The contact form on the home page does not transmit anything — to reach us, use the email address above. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google's servers and shares your IP address with them; see the Google Privacy Policy.

9. Retention & deletion

Your reading history and preferences stay on your device until you clear them or delete the app. Because there is no account, there is nothing on our side to look up or delete. Emails are kept only as long as needed to answer them. Data processed by AppsFlyer is retained under its own retention schedule; you may ask us to request its deletion.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live — including under the EU/UK GDPR and California's CCPA/CPRA — you may have the right to access, correct, delete or port your personal data, to object to or restrict its processing, and to withdraw consent. Where we rely on a legal basis, it is your consent (tracking, notifications) or our legitimate interest in understanding how the app is found (install attribution). To exercise any right, write to post@driftsortantartic.site; we will respond within 30 days. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

11. Children

Myth Archive is written for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Security

On-device data is protected by iOS data protection. Any data exchanged with third-party services travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS). No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, but we keep the amount of data involved as small as the app allows.

13. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the “Last updated” date above. Significant changes will also ship with a new version of the app.
